PRODUCTS

Your motorbike model is proposed in our vehicle selector; indicate the brand, cubic capacity and model of your motorcycle/quad/scooter and the compatible parts will be displayed directly (the photos or technical drawing of the parts correspond exactly to the parts sought, we do not use generic photos).

If in doubt about your motorbike model, please refer to the vehicle registration document.

If your model is not listed on our website, do not hesitate to contact us.

We sell genuine and quality branded motorbike sprockets, sprockets and chains. These high quality products are meticulously manufactured by qualified technicians to provide exceptional performance for all riders. All our brands are guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship.

For more details on the guarantees provided, please contact our team.

Kit And Ride offers you high quality chains from world renowned factories such as RK, JT, Tsubaki, ... (no white goods).

All chains selected for your motorbike or quad are also specifically designed for your model and size (road, hypersport/racing, or off-road chains).

All our chains are of high quality, so your choice will depend on the budget you wish to spend on them.

There are two types of chains available from Kit And Ride, depending on your motorbike model: with or without O-rings.

Standard motorbike chains without O-rings are less expensive but require daily lubrication to ensure a decent life span. Our range of chains with O-rings (O'Ring, X'Ring, XW'Ring, U'Ring, ...) are pre-lubricated and will last longer than any other chain without O-rings, but will of course still require some lubrication to maximise life and performance.

Kit And Ride also offers different types of chain depending on strength and application. You will find chains for standard use or chains specifically designed for heavy duty use (either with or without O-rings): please refer to the chain description.

No problem! Kit And Ride offers you a wide range of chains which are equivalent to the original and moreover most often of superior quality (RK equips for example in origin the Japanese and European brands such as Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha, Triumph, CF MOTO, ...)

The pitch of a chain is determined by the distance between two pins, the diameter of the rollers and the thickness of the sprocket and refers to the thickness of your sprockets and your motorbike chain.

You will normally find the chain pitch indication on the outer links of your chain.

Once you have selected the model of your motorbike, our chain kits are offered in the original pitch of your displacement (pitch 420, 428, 520, 525, 530 or 630), depending on the year of the motorbike and its power.

It is sometimes possible to reduce the pitch of your chain from 530 to 525 or from 525 to 520 to reduce the weight of the transmission (for example, in competition or stunt riding). Be careful though: reducing the pitch increases the risk of chain breakage as the breaking load is reduced.

The length of a motorbike chain refers to the number of connecting links in your chain (one link = one roller/axle).

After choosing your motorbike model, we automatically suggest the chain length in the original gear ratio. If you change the number of teeth on your sprocket and chainwheel, the appropriate chain length will be automatically proposed.

This is the type of link that is used to close the chain once installed on your motorbike.

Quick releases (or clip-on links) are normally used on lighter chains and smaller bikes. They are particularly popular with enduro and MX riders as they are quick to remove and replace without special tools.

Rivet links (or crimp links) are normally used on larger motorbikes and are generally considered a more reliable link for high powered road machines. These riveted links require a (de)rive-chain to connect the closing link to the chain (which we offer on our website).

All our chain kit packages are automatically sold with a crimp or quick release link, but you are of course free to modify your choice according to the possibilities provided by the chain manufacturers or order an additional link.

The gear ratio is the ratio of teeth between the pinion and the sprocket of your motorbike (this ratio determines how the engine speed is translated into wheel speed). Kit And Ride offers your chain kit in the original gear ratio (e.g. for a 2012 Yamaha Z750: a 15-tooth sprocket and a 43-tooth crown wheel).

However, the original gear ratios are not always ideal for a given motorbike or riding style (city trips, track use, long distances, duo use, etc). Kit And Ride gives you the ability to easily change your sprocket/crown gear teeth to alter this ratio and, therefore, the way your bike transmits power to the ground.

Increase my bike's pick-up/acceleration: simply remove one (or more) teeth from your pinion or add two (or more) teeth to the sprocket to make your bike behave more briskly (the top speed will be slower as the engine reaches its maximum speed earlier).

Increase the top speed of my motorbike: Simply add one (or more) teeth to the sprocket or remove two (or more) teeth from the sprocket to increase the top speed or reduce the engine speed (your motorbike will be less responsive).

Kit And Ride has provided you with a table in the form of a slider that calculates the gearing factor directly by changing the number of teeth on your pinion/crown wheel.
